International Shipping Coordinator

Location: Manhattan Beach, CA 
Type: Full-Time | Temp-Hire
Pay Range: $26-28hr

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented International Shipping Coordinator to manage the end-to-end coordination of international shipments, documentation, and financial transactions. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate export operations from international warehouses and authorized manufacturers across the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the logistics and shipping process for all international orders to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with international sales goals.

  • Review, verify, and process shipping documents for factory-direct shipments from overseas offices.

  • Ensure shipping paperwork is complete and compliant, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, transportation instructions, and other export documentation.

  • Track all international shipments to ensure timely delivery and proactively resolve any delays or discrepancies.

  • Manage financial transactions related to international exports, including letters of credit, wire transfers, and documentary collections.

  • Reconcile invoice data and resolve pricing discrepancies with the Finance Team prior to billing.

  • Coordinate with factories and international partners to resolve any document discrepancies or clarifications.

  • Serve as the liaison between internal teams (Customer Service, Allocations, Customs, Finance, Retail, Distribution Center) and external partners (freight forwarders, carriers, trucking companies).

  • Maintain professional and proactive communication with international customers and vendors to facilitate the smooth movement of goods.

General & Administrative

  • Ensure proper handling and timely filing of all shipping and customs-related documentation.

  • Monitor and maintain accurate shipment records.

  • Perform other duties related to international shipping operations as assigned by management.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in international trade, export operations, or logistics.

  • Strong knowledge of export documentation, shipping procedures, and international trade terminology.

  • Experience working with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs regulations.

  • Experience with general inventory management systems such as WMS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with inventory or logistics systems is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.

Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and video conferencing).

    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

    • Able to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment.

    • Comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
