Global logistics company is seeking a Full-time Accounting and Finance Supervisor. This new role will play an instrumental part in the company's financial activities.

Job Type: Part-Time, Project-Based (5–6 Months, Potential for Extension)
Pay: $25-26/hr

About the Role:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant with hands-on experience in freight forwarding accounting and proficiency in Cargowise. This is a 5–6 month project with the potential to be extended. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), and data entry, along with advanced Excel skills and the ability to perform payables research accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and manage A/R and A/P transactions using Cargowise

• Conduct payables research to reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies

• Enter, verify, and update accounting data with a high degree of accuracy

• Assist in preparing financial reports and reconciling general ledger accounts

• Communicate with vendors, internal teams, and freight operations staff to support accounting functions

• Track invoice approvals and ensure timely payments

• Utilize advanced Excel functions (v-lookups, pivot tables, formulas, etc.) to analyze and report financial data

• Support ad-hoc accounting tasks as needed during the project

 

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of accounting experience in a freight forwarding or logistics environment

• Strong working knowledge of Cargowise is required

• Proficiency in A/R, A/P, and transactional data entry

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, conditional formatting, etc.)

• Strong analytical and organizational skills

• Able to commit to a full-time project role for 5–6 months, with possible extension

• High attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines

• Familiarity with international freight billing and cost recovery procedures

• Experience reconciling intercompany accounts or freight carrier payments
