Pay Rate: $18hr
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm

As a Maintenance technician, you’ll play a vital role in keeping buildings, parks, highways and grounds clean, safe, and well-maintained. This hands-on role involves custodial duties, basic maintenance, and ensuring the overall safety and functionality of facilities. You’ll represent us with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to public service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning using proper methods, tools, and disinfectants.

• Maintain and make minor repairs to facilities, including painting, graffiti removal, and basic plant removal.

• Use and conduct light maintenance on hand and power tools and custodial equipment.

• Inspect and maintain park grounds, athletic fields, paths, and campsites.

• Identify and report safety hazards, needed repairs, or maintenance issues.

• Maintain basic records and complete reports on tasks performed.

• Follow safety protocols while working with chemicals, equipment, and in outdoor or hazardous environments.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Minimum of one (1) year of custodial or maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• Knowledge of:

  • Basic custodial and maintenance techniques

  • Painting, plumbing, concrete, and plant tools and methods

  • Safe operation of power tools and custodial equipment

  • Reading maps, plans, and written instructions
