Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our production team in Minden. Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, you will be a vital link in our supply chain, ensuring that valve products are assembled, inspected, and packed to reach our customers safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Order Preparation: Execute final assembly of valve products and pack components securely to prevent transit damage.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct final inspections on all orders; identify and report discrepancies to management prior to shipment.

• Logistics & Data Entry: Accurately input shipping details into department systems and coordinate order pickups with various freight carriers.

• Inventory Management: Maintain stock levels for specific components (e.g., 2” threaded flanges) and perform weekly manual inventory/shortage reports.

• Operational Support: Assist the receiving department as needed and manage facility tasks such as cardboard baling.

• Safety Compliance: Operate hand tools and department equipment safely while strictly adhering to PPE requirements and safety protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years previous experience in a manufacturing or labor-intensive role is required. Experience in a shipping/logistics environment is preferred.

• Technical Aptitude: Must be computer literate with the ability to learn specialized shipping software and inventory systems.

• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs, push carts weighing up to 1,000 lbs, and remain standing for the duration of the shift.

• Precision: High degree of hand-eye coordination and the ability to memorize part names and numbers accurately.

• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm and focused under deadline pressure.
