Job Title: Sealing & Bonding Technician
Location: Long Beach, CA
Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $24-28/hr
Reports To: Senior Operations Manager

Position Summary

The Sealing & Bonding Technician is responsible for sealing, bonding, and preparing materials such as monolithic graphite, tooling board, insulation board, and tooling foam according to specifications. This role supports production by ensuring high-quality parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and work instructions to determine processes and sequence of operations.

• Document all work performed on work orders/travelers, including material shelf life/out life, lot numbers, and quantities used.

• Prepare materials (including monolithic graphite) by benching, cleaning, sanding, and applying epoxies/cements per work instructions.

• Smooth and clean mold surfaces using abrasives while preserving vacuum integrity.

• Mix, measure, and record compounds accurately.

• Adjust and monitor oven temperature controls; record heat cycles.

• Apply basic shop math to measurements and material usage.

• Maintain a clean, organized workstation to ensure product quality.

• Follow all company safety policies, quality procedures, and production standards.

Required Skills & Physical Requirements

• Basic computer skills (data entry, documentation).

• Basic shop math skills.

• Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs.

• Ability to stand, reach, grab, and pull throughout the entire shift.

• Strong attention to detail and quality.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience (assembly, machine operation, warehouse, or similar).

• Epoxy application experience.

• Prepreg layup experience is a plus.
