We are seeking an experienced Import/Export International Operations Specialist to join our Torrance, California office. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end international freight operations, with a strong emphasis on import processes and growing exposure to air and ocean export activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all stages of international import operations from booking through final delivery, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.

• Handle air and ocean export operations, including documentation, coordination with overseas agents, and shipment execution.

• Prepare and manage rate quotes for customers and international partners for both air and ocean freight.

• Coordinate and oversee consolidated cargo shipments.

• Communicate regularly with overseas agents, carriers, trucking companies, and vendors.

• Ensure adherence to customs regulations, shipping laws, and internal compliance standards.

• Resolve shipment issues proactively to minimize delays or disruptions.

• Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation within CargoWise.

• Support customer relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, and problem resolution.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with a freight forwarding company handling air and ocean import operations from start to finish (required).

• Minimum 2 years of experience handling air and ocean export operations from initiation to completion.

• Experience with CargoWise operating system.

• Strong understanding of customs procedures, shipping regulations, and documentation requirements.

• Experience working with consolidated cargo and cross-border shipments.

• Proven ability to negotiate rates with carriers, trucking companies, and service providers.

• High level of comfort with transportation and logistics technology systems.

• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
