Role: Gate House/Clerk, Seasonal 

Pay rate: $16.00/ hr

Location: Sly Valley, CA

 

Talmo & Associates is hiring multiple roles for a Parks and recreation seasonal opportunity! Gate house/Park Aide will be responsible for visitor services at park entrance. Collect fees, assign campsites to visitors, provide visitors with a variety of information, operate the computerized reservation system, and use the radio to transmit information to district staff.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required.

 

WORK HOURS: Work will be seasonal on a full-time basis; days and hours will vary with weekend and holiday work required

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office and field environment; may be exposed to inclement weather conditions

 

Must be able to operate a cash register, and a computer, and make change

Interpret and communicate district policies and recreation rules and regulations

Interact courteously with the public and district personnel

Take direction from district personnel and manage time effectively

Use good judgment when handling emergencies

Knowledge and use of proper radio etiquette

Must be able to prepare written reports

Remove obvious or excessive concentrated litter

Knowledge of proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
