Recommended Salary: $70,000-80,000 annually
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Specialist to manage full-cycle accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, month-end/year-end close, financial reporting, and audit preparation.
This is a hands-on role that also provides guidance and oversight to 1–2 junior staff members. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to independently manage accounting responsibilities through financial statement and audit preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).
- Prepare customer statements, monitor aging, and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Maintain the general ledger, cash book, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and provide weekly cash reports.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and account variances.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, including depreciation and disposals.
- Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.
- Assist with tax-related reporting and documentation.
- Liaise with banks and foreign exchange providers regarding banking matters.
- Process employee expenses and sales commission reports as needed.
- Train, delegate work to, and provide guidance to 1–2 junior staff members.
- Support general administrative and operational needs as assigned.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong full-cycle accounting experience, including AR, AP, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience with month-end/year-end close and audit preparation.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with management.
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring accounting staff preferred.
