CUSTOMS COMPLIANCE ANALYST

LOCATION: Redondo Beach, CA

JOB TYPE:  Temporary, 6 months. work onsite - no remote option.

          PAY:  $30-32/hr dep on experience

JOB SUMMARY: The Customs Compliance Analyst classifies footwear and other merchandise and will interface daily w/ employees and outside vendors such as customs brokers and transportation companies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

•    Classify using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) primarily for US and other countries as well, primarily for footwear and other merchandise as well.

•    Work with customs broker and internal stakeholders on various customs-related processes.

•    FTA certificate of origin management.

•    CHB customs broker communications.

•    Coordination with FTZ on receiving and related issues.

•    Perform other tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:  

•    Min. 3 - 5 years of customs classification experience.

•    Experience classifying footwear and wearing apparel.  

•    Proficiency using MS Excel, Word, and Outlook are required.

•    Proficiency in reading and understanding the Harmonized Tariff Schedule.

•    Familiar with U.S. Customs regulations and requirements.

•    Understanding of ocean freight, and logistics terminology.
