Air Import Coordinator (Int’l Freight Forwarder)

• Location: Portland OR.
• Pay Rate: starting $20/hr.

Overview: This company operates in 27 states within the U.S., providing logistics solutions through an int’l freight and logistics network handling of: air, land, sea, and express packages; household goods and perishable freight; and livestock. Other services offered include warehousing, distribution and customs brokerage and clearance.

Essential Duties:

• Prepare import shipments for assigned customers. This may include customs clearance, shipping, labeling, and distribution of cargo. Generate delivery orders and shipping labels as needed.
• Provide customer service through direct contact with the customer.
• Communicate with other departments such as customs brokerage and warehouse.
• Communicate with subcontractors such as truckers and airlines in order to obtain necessary information in order to process shipments in the best way.
• Filing and data entry.
• Responsible for account receivable for assigned accounts to collect Unpaid invoices within credit term.

Minimum Requirements, Education, and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate or significant or relevant or appropriate working experience.
• Computer skills including data entry and maintenance and working.
• Some knowledge of general Computer application technology desirable
• Industry experience
• Knowledge of international commerce (sales and payment term, method, customs regulations etc.)
