Purchasing Manager

Immediately seeking Purchasing Manager for cutting-edge ergonomic office furniture manufacturer in Los Angeles, CA.


Job type: Full-time; on-site

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm

Salary: Starting at $80k plus bonuses for meeting KPI's


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, plan, and implement sourcing and purchasing strategies
  • Work with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments
  • Maintain a database of approved suppliers 
  • Build and maintain relationships with local and overseas suppliers and vendors
  • Negotiate lower pricing
  • Search and source potential suppliers and vendors
  • Track, measure, and analyze company expenditures
  • Determine and track KPIs
  • Set up Sku’s and work closely with the Product development team on costing
  • Provide reports for upper management
  • Support Controller with month-end close and inventory control
  • Adhere to import laws, rules, and regulations
  • Expedite, receive, and ensure accuracy in records and documents


MUST MEET THE REQUIREMENTS BELOW:

  • Previous working experience in Purchasing Management for 6 years or more
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or similar relevant field
  • Proficiency in inventory management and RFP software
  • Hands-on experience in budgeting and purchasing management
  • Superb communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Outstanding negotiation skills
  • Problem solver with a strong analytical mindset
  • Must be able to multi-task, use Advanced Excel
  • Excellent customer service skills
