Talmo & Associates is assisting a national freight forwarding company hire an experienced Import Coordinator in the San Francisco, CA. This role is responsible for activities related to the import of shipments by ocean or air for customs clearance.

Role: Import Coordinator

Location: San Francisco, CA

Payrate: $22-$26 DOE, non-exempt

Job type: Temp to hire

Job Functions:

Import Coordination and Administrative duties

-Contacts customers, gathering, distributing and imputing information on requests and other customer needs

-Contacts carriers, customs brokers and truckers to coordinate pick up or delivery

-Releases shipments with bill of lading

-Creates, organizes and analyzes data and paperwork

-Creates and issues invoices

-Breaks down document pouches and consolidation shipments as needed

-Prepares manifests, processes TW Entries, delivery orders, authority to entry letters, etc

-Other tasks and duties as necessary, list is not comprehensive of all duties that will be assigned, including assistance in warehouse if needed

Qualifications:

Organized with excellent attention to detail and time management skills. Reliable and experienced with import and freight forwarding. Must have the ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms. Basic math and analysis of data. Must work well independently and as part of the team. Adaptability, flexibility and follow through is needed. Knowledge and experience with MS Office and general office equipment.

High school diploma or higher required.
