 Transportation and Logistics service provider seeking Entry Writers to join the team. The ideal candidates will have knowledge of clearing goods through customs and facilitating the delivery.

Pay Range: $21-25hr DOE

Job type:Full-Time, in office

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm

Location: Monterey Park, CA 

Essential Duties:

• Prepare documents for submittal to US Customs
• Review documents to check for accuracy and compliance
• Ensure shipments meet laws and regulations to facilitate import and export of goods
• Interface with customers on delivery and irregularities
• Manage daily tracking reports for open shipments
• Track and trace shipments and coordinate with the steamship lines, freight forwarders, etc
• Arrange with trucking companies for pick-up and delivery
• Handle accounting processes including the issuance of invoices and freight bill approval.
• Maintain relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, container freight stations and trucking companies. 
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years experience as an entry writer
• Detailed oriented and able to meet deadlines
• Familiarity using CargoWise or similar software
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel 
• Great attitude and a team player
• Detailed and organized
• Must pass a background check
