Talmo & Associates is seeking a logistics analyst in the Chicago area for an established and expanding global freight forwarder NVOCC.

Location: Chicago, IL 

Role: Analyst - Corporate Logistics and Sales

Salary: $50-$65K DOE, non-exempt, hourly

Schedule: Full-time, in-person, non-supervisory role

General Position Summary:

Responsible for monthly KPI reports, developing training needs, motivating, and

supporting sales in our growing logistics business.

Essential Job Functions:

-Logistics Analyst

-Standardize company warehouse operations and procedures in accordance with company management system of quality and customer satisfaction.

-Continually improve (Kaizen) practices using PCDA method for Quality Warehouse Management.

-Prepare monthly management reports for senior management and overseas home office.

-Analyze performance statistics and track KPI/KGI’s to discuss recommendations.

-Compose customer requirements and align with our service standards.

-Assist with quotations and operational implementation as needed.

-Participate in both branch and corporate sales projects and quarterly online meetings.

-Establish and maintain relationships with various offices, vendors, and customers.

-Knowledge and implementation of 3S/5S and onboarding new Logistics members.

-Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace and while representing company.

-Report immediately all irregular issues and problems to supervisor/manager for solution.

-Maintain good communication with management, staff members and outside contacts/vendors.

-Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.

-Comply with all company policies and procedures.

-Maintain mandatory E-learning courses as required.

-Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

-Accuracy & attention to detail

-Good communication skills both verbal and written, listening for understanding. Japanese a plus but not mandatory

-Ability to keep information confidential

-Computer literate software includes the use of Windows operating system, MS Office, CargoWise – a plus but not mandatory.

-Excellent time management and organizational skills

Education and Work Experience

-Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

-Must have between three to five years of previous experience in a similar position.

Certificates / Licenses

IAC Security Training Record/Certificate and approved STA required.

Any other certificate or training records that are required by each department, position/title, or government agency.
