JOB DUTIES: -
Supervision of the Accounting Dept.

Ensure staff processes accounting information accurately and timely.

Coordinate monthly Closings

Supervise the creation of Accounting reports to ensure that all reports are accurately and timely prepared and submitted, (incl; Bank reconciliation, insurance report, Schedule check sheet, Oversea agent report, Sales & use tax report, Year-end reports (gift, donation, membership, penalty, miscellaneous income & expense, Vendor W-9 information etc.)

Implement and maintain proper internal controls.

Provide support to develop company wide internal control

JOB SUMMARY: Compile, prepare and invoice Customers and Agents for services rendered. Listing details of products shipped by carrier by performing the following duties;
• Accurately compute and audit payables for international agents overseas.
• Check and verify bills of ladings (BOLS)
• Create monthly customer invoices for export shipments.
• Ensure customers are current in the general ledger system
• Assist with monthly close and audit activities.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
• Superior communication and organizational skills.
• Currency conversion experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 4 or more years Billing / invoicing experience with a Freight Forwarder, or 3PL service provider.
• Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, MAS 90
• Experience invoicing for Carnets & TIB's etc.
• Experience with currency conversions
• Experience with Agent settlements from overseas vendors or agents.
Salary: $46,000-48k annually, dep. on experience; Plus a comprehensive Benefits plan.

JOB SUMMARY: Preparation, publishing and distribution of monthly financial statements, including consolidated statements. Generate monthly reporting, reconcile accounts, make journal entries and prepare schedules and analyses.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preparation of monthly financial statements, including consolidated results.

Provide preliminary results by the third work day of the month.

Prepare supporting analytical schedules for month-end reporting package.
-
Prepare journal entries; perform month end system closing and generate reports.
-
Reporting to various government agencies as needed.
-
Analyze monthly general ledger expenses.
-
Maintain fixed assets ledgers and depreciation reports.
-
Reporting to various government agencies as needed (sales tax, FET, census data, etc.)
-
Perform tasks for special projects as assigned. This includes providing assistance in the Billing and AP departments in order to learn the transactional flows and recommending process improvements where necessary.

Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts monthly and review for adequacy of accruals.

Support company budgeting and forecasting functions as needed.

Heavy participation in year-end and government audits; prepare audit schedules as required.

Perform all other duties as assigned or required.

Understand and follow company rules and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:

Four-year degree in Accounting/Finance.

Three to five years experience in a similar or related position.

Proficiency in use of fully integrated business software packages. Oracle or SAP experience a plus.

Proficiency in spreadsheet software.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels and management and employees.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to shift priorities as business conditions demand.
